The Texas Gypsies

The Texas Gypsies are an award winning band with a unique and eclectic style and sound all their own. Formed by a Grammy winner and professional musicians that have played with many well-known artists, they are able to mix violin, horns and guitars and drums to perform a variety of styles such as: classic Big Band music (Sinatra, Buble'), European Parisian swing (Django Reinhardt), New Orleans jazz, Texas swing (Bob Wills), Texas blues, 1950s classics, plus many original compositions and their own take on pop classics.

The Gypies can perform with four to eight members, who dress in 1930s and '40s attire. Their show features instrumental and vocal songs that are both artistic and also fun! The music is at once earthy and sophisticated, appealing to a wide audience. "This music makes you feel alive," wrote a reviewer in International Music magazine.

The Texas Gypsies have recently been accepted into three prestigious arts programs the National Endowment for the Arts American Masterpieces touring program the Mid-America Arts Alliance and the Touring Artist Program of the Texas Commission on the Arts.
