For the past 40 years and counting, Chisholm Trail Arts Council has been promoting the arts in Duncan and Stephens County with the mission of "Promoting and Inspiring the Arts in Southwest Oklahoma".
Arts Explosion (AE) first began around 1991. Classes were held at the Simmons Center for several years, but once the program outgrew this space, AE was then moved to the Stephens County Expo Center. Originally, Arts Explosion focused on students who had completed third, fourth and fifth grades. Classes were designed to hold approximately 20 children per class. In recent years, the AE program has slowly expanded to include not only the regular age group children (3rd-5th) and teens (6th-12th), but the new age group K-2nd in 2018.
Our Art Education in Schools program, which brings in professional artists for teaching residencies at elementary and secondary schools, is available to every school district in the county.
CTAC Live is an eclectic music and performing arts concert series that is the fastest-growing series of its type in Oklahoma. It's an opportunity to see and hear talent from around the world that is usually only experienced in metro areas.
Membership levels allow you the opportunity to receive CTAC Live season tickets along with your membership donation if you wish. If you decide that you do not want to receive tickets with your donation or that you would like to purchase them at a later date, simply write "No Tickets with My Membership" on your returned form.
We count on you, our members and patrons, to help make it all possible!
